R.I.P. He was in the Naked Gun was he? I watched that movie when I was a kid and I loved it.

At the age of 30 and appearing in only his second film, Leslie Nielsen was a lead actor in the sci fi classic, Forbidden Planet. Interesting to watch if you've never seen him in a serious role before or even if you're just a fan of good old space adventures. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forbidden_Planet

Yeah, he was a great actor. Not in the traditional serious sense, but a great comedic talent. Sad to hear, but it happens with everyone... At least he was able to work a long career and give us all those classic films.
