I'm still working my way through the list of fantasy stuff with the (*) that I posted about over in the Gossip Corner, so watch out for a big influx of games for the Waiting List.

Here's a bunch of stuff that I spent days tracking down and testing for possible inclusion in the upcoming Fantasy Stream.

As I mentioned in the Gossip Corner, some of these games are 2P alt, which goes against my guidelines, but they could still come in handy when you need a break sometimes, Atarix.

Various genres are covered in these additions. There are two games that I'm particularly excited for, insofar as, though they're nothing like Windjammers, they are in the sense that they offer uniquely awesome head-to-head play; Rampart and Twinkle Star Sprites. Another interesting choice is Metamoqester, which is kinda like Dramatic Battle with boss monsters. Should be very cool with 2P! One unusual game is Warrior Blade - Rastan Saga Episode III, which is twin screen, so I guess we'll need to check it out on the test stream channel. Another is PuLiRuLa, which is flat out one of the weirdest games in MAME!

One of my top 3 favorite games ever that would fit into the "Fantasy/Medieval" theme would be Black Tiger, though it is only a single-player experience. The closest game that perhaps could be considered a sequel would have to be Magic Sword though they are different enough.

At least Magic Sword is 2-player cooperative.

Wow, it looks like there will be a looooot to test very soon. I actually liked Stingers Idea of testing games during the stream - maybe we should always dedicate the first hour to that

Yeah, Stinger, Black Tiger is an all-time great game. I've relaxed a bit on the 2P sim guideline to include some 2P alt games. Atarix does occasionally like to take a break from the madness, so Black Tiger should be OK for that, too.

Yeah, Atarix, live testing of MAME games mostly works out well, although any fantasy stuff is obviously not for on-air testing while we figure out the full Fantasy Stream programme.

Yeah, thats why I wrote "the first hour" - of course the fantasy stream need to be tested seperated

I remembered another nice head-to-head Neo Geo game to go with Windjammers; it's Street Hoop, a really fun and slightly unrealistic basketball game. I also got a reminder on YouTube recently about a 1v1 fighter, called Martial Masters, that would be very cool for us if it can work online.

Yeah mate. My roster is a 3 hour shift on Tuesday, then full days Wednesday to Saturday, then Sunday and Monday off. So yeah, just when we thought we had a good stream time worked out between us, life had different plans and now I'm totally run down whenever we stream. Ah well... even if I can't be at peak gaming performance on the stream anymore, I know how you feel now. The thought of hanging out and gaming for a few hours each week helps get me through the long workdays.

But don't worry, nobody can expect that we do more then we do already (and If you consider that the most of our streams are totally casual, we do some times even a very good job ^^).

PS: The thought of gaming some hours on saturday afternoon (what is mainly my free day) is somehow my "Island of peace - mind" during the week, too ;-D

PSS: When are you normaly arround on Sundays (your time) after you had lunch with your familie? Maybe we could run some tests together during that day (1-2 hours) here and there

Actually, I hung around in TS for a few hours last Sunday, but you were in the AFK channel the whole time so I eventually got bored. It depends how destroyed I am after Sunday lunch as to if and when I'll show up in TS, but I'll try again if I'm able.

Hey guys I was trying to come up with a solution to why mine and atarix Killer Instinct was locking up before we could even get into the game. Hiero tried to make sure I had the correct files and it seems as if I do. Ad I'm sure the ones Jeliehz pointed out are the "oked versions wink wink". So is there any idea other than perhaps high latency, even though me and Atarix are on pretty sweat broadband?

@Neck - the best thing would be, if you hit me up on skype when you are arround on sundays for a case... A lot of times I am arround in the near by with the mobile phone in the pocket, or I am at home and the monitor is turned off ^^. That would be cool

@Killrathy - KI worked so far without any problems between me and Flankdog from Tazmania (Ping: 390), so we can exclude any latencey problems. We should run another test and make sure to use the same version (maybe doing a redownload), i am quite sure that this will help

Haha, that was easy. It took about a coupla weeks for Atarix to convince me that Skype was a necessary evil.

I am quite sure that skype will take over the world leader ship one day, it's just working to good ^^... But I guess thats a topic for the "Trashtalk gossip corner" ^^, because I don't want to ruin the approved Thread
